Remove the Statue of Liberty

The Statue of Liberty has represented freedom and hope for so many coming into this great nation, but unfortunately it no longer stands in line with our current values. The statue's famous words do not represent many of our people's stance towards refugees, and therefore it appears to be a rather unnecessary face to greet refugee seekers and immigrants searching for a better home.
"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
There is no point in keeping such an outdated symbol of opportunity and refuge on our shores, if we have no intention of actually providing that for those who need it most.
