Thank you everyone who continue to help get the word out! I appreciate all of your help. I want to apologize for not being completely clear with the title - If you read the letter, we are asking to government to also cover more of the medications that Type 2 Diabetics use and to implement preventative programs for Type 2. My choice to highlight Type 1 is because sometimes these very different diseases with similar names get confused. T1 is an autoimmune disease that is incurable and usually starts in childhood. But The costs associated with treating and managing Type 2 can be equally a financial burden to those who take medications not covered by Pharmacare. I chose to tie what we were asking for together in the letter. Please sign. We wouldn't give a hemophiliac a box of band aids if they couldn't afford medication... Why are we doing this to Diabetics? It's bad business for Manitoba and will cost so much more in the long run. Tell your friends, sign the petition, share. Thank you.
