Hello everyone, I've been making calls and sending emails to find a doctor to be on our 'side' and help us with research, science-based recommendations for cleaning. I've learned the health departments (county and state) do not regulate the tables themselves, only the food prep area or where food comes into direct contact with the table. Having food trays takes tables out of their jurisdiction. I reached out to our school board member and I would love for you to do the same. Let them know you support the petition and would like to see the policy revisited. At the very least, I'd like to see some sort of compromise or a way for them to truly justify the policy that's in place. I hope to address the school board once I get research and a letter from a physician in my hand. I'd love for as many parents as possible to join me at the meeting. Media is already reaching out and asking when we plan to be there. Also, please keep sharing. My goal was 3k signatures, but I'm ok with 2,500. We've been super sick in our house, and the flu is spreading like wildfire. I want WCPSS to know we, as parents, are concerned and aren't going away. Thank you so much for your support! Kira
