After finding out that it was likely the TwitterAble team who added the neurodiversity symbol to #AutismAwareness I decided to tag them into my petition thread on Twitter.

A few minutes later, the symbol got taken off #AutismAwareness and put onto #AutismAcceptance - as well as onto #AutismAcceptanceMonth !

Somebody with the power to make the change listened to us and changed it. Thank you.
