On May 20th 2022, I petitioned Twitch's Advertisers to use their leverage to put an end to shady casino broadcasts on Twitch: https://www.change.org/twitchgambling it received 1000 signatures and then I emailed the petition to all major companies who advertise on Twitch.

On May 27th 2022, Erin Wolford, Senior director of external communications at Chipotle, replied:

"Thank you for reaching out. Twitch has removed these streams from our ad placements. Best, Erin"

My response:

"Hi Erin, thank you for following up, it means a lot. Can you please verify what you mean by "these streams"? Does that mean Chipotle will no longer be showing advertisements on the "Slots" section of Twitch, or on specific livestreams? And was this a recent change?"

Erin @ Chipotle replied on May 27th:

"Hi Erin – None of our ads run in "Slots" or "Poker""

My response:

"Following up to ask, was your company removing your ads from the "Slots" section from Twitch a recent change?"

Erin @ Chipotle replied on June 2nd today:

"Hi Erin – This change took place in May. "

Our petition with just 1700 signatures caused a $40 billion dollar company to take action to remove their advertisements from Twitch's slot and poker sections (which receive millions of viewers a week). This reaffirms the truth that public companies care about their image. If enough of us care they will care too. Any actions taken from these public companies that negatively impact Twitch will lead Twitch a step closer to taking this petition seriously. Thank you for supporting it. Please keep sharing it.
