'Empty chair' any political party leader who fails to attend after being invited.

'Empty chair' any political party leader who fails to attend after being invited.
The Issue
In a democracy like the UK the electorate have a right to see prospective political party leaders questioned about future policy or past performance. Prior to the 2010 election it was decided that as part of this process live TV debates would be aired and they proved to be popular with public, an estimated 22 million people of all ages and social class watched and this no doubt helped a great many decide how to cast their vote.
If in the 2015 debates any party leader declines attendance to some or all debates the public may have legitimate concerns that electoral gameplay is being employed and that political advantage is being sought with disregard to the spirit of the democratic process.
I ask therefore that the TV broadcasting companies stand up to any individual who refuses to attend all the debates offered to them and if necessary 'empty chair' that person.
