This is a last call for you to help us prove injury by Midland, Texas so we can file suit on behalf of our membership and America's truckers.

You remember J. Ross Lacy. He's the guy who said the sight of truckers in trucks was "completely disgusting" and vowed to pass a city law to "go after these eighteen wheelers," one which outlawed truck parking city-wide. Well, he did just that and now the clock is running out on our chance to challenge the city.

In the interest of pushing back against this latest trucker unfriendly trend of outlawing truck parking city-wide, the SBTC is asking Drivers to report to us instances in which they have received tickets for parking in non residential areas in Midland, Texas.

We are exploring a possible Federal civil rights action against the city for interfering with interstate commerce and discriminating against truck drivers. If you were coerced by the city of Midland's no truck parking ordinance to not stop in Midland and were thereafter cited for an HOS violation, we would like to hear about that as well.
