Have you ever talked to the newly wed wife of a trucker who was expecting her first child when her husband was just gunned down days before by some punk in Detroit because the receiver wouldn't let him in at midnight, one who knows she will never see her husband again and he will never get to see their child born? I HAVE. Have you ever talked to the daughter of a senior citizen trucker still working because a trucker can't retire easily in this country who was laying in a hospital bed undergoing and recovering from numerous surgeries after being shot on the Interstate because he couldn't find a safe place to park? I HAVE. Have you ever spoken to a good samaritan trucker who stopped to help what he thought was a female disabled motorist in a dangerous desolate area only to realize it was a trap laid by a real life present day Bonnie and Clyde criminal duo who then shot him and left him for dead on the side of the road who still has the bullet lodged inside him and suffers every day to this day? I HAVE. I'm not buying this line of truckers are all hotheads who can't handle guns. They are people. Whose lives matter. Who are just doing a job and want to return home safely to their families.
