On April 29th, 2019, the Trinity College Student Government Association (SGA) voted to deny recognition of the Churchill Club as a student organization. The following day, Trinity College President Joanne Berger-Sweeney and the College's Administration attempted to undermine SGA's decision. This action is an irresponsible and unprecedented seizure of authority from the SGA, and therefore the Trinity student body. On May 1st, the SGA passed a resolution condemning this action and encouraging all members of the Trinity College community to oppose this unjust interference.
