Sefton Council wish to remove 2 mature Horse Chestnut trees from Formby Village.  Formby Parish Council commissioned a tree survey by an expert Aboriculturalist who says the trees can be saved and thrive, posing no threat to the safety of village shoppers with the appropriate tree care and remedial pruning.  Formby Parish Council have expressed their willingness to find funds for this care and meet any reasonable cost.  Despite this Sefton Council is insisting on removing the trees.
