Treasurer Josh Frydenberg given 90 days to respond

A petition on the federal parliament website regarding flaws with the government's Cash Flow Boost Scheme has been accepted by the petitions committee.
The Cash Flow Boost petition was presented to the House on October 19th.
The petition asks the House to amend the current legislation to waive the Business Activity Statement lodgement requirement for those businesses that were created on or after:
• 1 July 2019 and lodge their Business Activity Statement annually
• 1 January 2020 and lodge their Business Activity Statement quarterly
In accordance with petition rules, the petition has now been referred to the Treasurer.
Treasurer Josh Frydenberg has been given 90 days to respond to the petition.
This will be welcome news to those who have been waiting months with no response and have essentially been ghosted by the Treasurer.
