Remove ONE WAY Sign from San Alwigi Street in MSIDA

This is addressed in particular to all those road users who like me use San Alwigi Street on a daily basis to commute to work. These people know that this is a traffic relief road and a short cut to reach areas like Gzira, Ta Xbiex and Sliema especially during this time when the Kappara Junction is close to go down to Gzira.
Moreover, it is the ONLY safe road one can take when Valley Road in Msida is flooded and as everyone is aware it will flood every time it rains!
This morning as usual I passed from there only to find out as soon as I got out of Triq il-Kuncizzjoni that the road is now a ONE WAY! It took me over 40min to get out from the beginning of Triq il-Kuncizzjoni till I reached Msida Circus (I can't even imagine how long it will take when the traffic increases as soon as school begins!)
I feel that this is complete madness, not only will this one way create more confusion, frustration and traffic but it will most probably have a direct bearing on more motor traffic accidents. Last but not least it will create severe issues during rainy days when the valley and Msida Circus get completely flooded & authorities will urge road users to find alternative routes! At this point in time there are no alternative routes and I fear this will have a direct impact on the safety of all drivers who would have no other option but to pass from a flooded area.
I thus kindly ask you to sign this petition so Transport Malta can remove this One Way which was done upon the request and extreme insistence from Msida Local Council.
