The Tynygraig footbridge is a vital link for people in Llanbradach.  Plaid Cymru ward councillors Rob Gough and Colin Mann fear that owners, Transport for Wales (TfW), are looking to shut the bridge permanently following damage in an accident as an excuse to close it for good.  This must not happen.

An alternative route for residents using Tynygraig Road and walking under the road bridge on Station Road would be extremely dangerous and mean a detour of around  half-a-mile for walkers.

We believe the damage is being used as an attempt by publicly owned TfW to remove an ongoing liability from its maintenance portfolio.

We call on TfW to live up to its responsibilities, carry out repairs and reopen the footbridge for the public good.

Please support and tell your friends and relatives. With your support we can get the footbridge repaired and reopen
