Rezone Westcombe Park and Maze Hill Railway Stations from Zone 3 to Zone 2

We the undersigned call on the Departmemt for Transport, in consultation with TfL, to rezone Westcombe Park and Maze Hill Railway stations from Zone 3 to Zone 2 when the new Southeastern franchise comes into effect in December 2018.
The current zoning is out of date and commuters are paying the price. Currently North Greenwich Underground station is Zone 2/3 as is Greenwich Railway station, whereas Maze Hill and Westcombe Park are in the more expensive zone 3, despite being a similar distance from central London as North Greenwich. This means the zone border currently sits in Greenwich Town Centre, rezoning these two stations would move the boundary to the A2, a more logical boundary.
The move would also save commuters over £262 a year. Based on the 2017 fares; a zone 1-3 travel card costs £148.70 a month, whereas a zone 1-2 travel card would cost £126.80.
The current arrangement puts extra pressure on Greenwich and North Greenwich stations as commuters head to the cheaper stations. Rezoning Maze Hill and Westcombe Park stations would spread the demand and reduce overcrowding.
By rezoning the stations inline with the new franchise TfL can avoid having to compensate rail operators.
We call on the Mayor of London to address this issue and update the out of date zones at Westcombe Park and Maze Hill and rezone these stations at zone 2.
