Great news. I have just been informed by Transport for London that works on installing the new crossing on Battersea Bridge are to finish ahead of schedule. Golly.

The new crossing will be fully active in time for the school run on MONDAY morning (15th November.) I have been amazed and impressed by the pace of these works.

I stopped to have a chat with the lead technician working on the lights system this morning and was treated to a Master Class on the workings of a Siemens traffic lights control box. Fascinating.

(For enthusiasts) The On/Off button you see at the top of the photo is THE actual button that will send the new system live. I'm thinking of asking Kylie to pop down and do the flicking honours. (RM: 13/11/21)
