I am one of many UK pensioners worried about the future as we approach the uncertainty of winter. Our generation has fought for our country, steadfastly serving the crown, only to be neglected in our twilight years. The conduct of the current government towards us, interspersed with apathy and disdain, feels like a betrayal of our contribution to this nation. It is truly a sad story.

Our critical concern is to address the shortcomings of our political system, stuck in medieval and colonial times. We need a representative system where each person's voice and ideas matter and where democracy is not simply a fig leaf for autocracy and control. We seek a society where the elected MPs, who we finance through our hard-earned money, are held accountable, and where honesty becomes the best policy. Over a quarter of a million concerned citizens have already petitioned for PM  to step down,on change org petition. indicating the palpable frustration permeating across the UK.

Also,prempt any future political violence  coming home to uk. ie which happens in other democracies eg asia/africa and even america.eg assasination attempt on trump. 

This petition is a cry for help, for mercy, for compassion for the UK's elderly from the world leaders, starting with a meaningful change in our political system. Let us not force our elderly to protest outside the UN headquarters in New York pleading for support. Let's create a just and compassionate society for them here, in their homeland. It is time for us to express love, mercy, kindness, hope, and peace not just in words but through action. Please sign the petition, demanding a change in the political system for inclusive representation and better governance.
