WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!!!

The Edmund Rice Schools Trust, who own the former CBS hall, are actively trying to sell it to a developer.

Tramore Basketball Club have asked them to turn it over to a Community-based company to ensure it stays as a community resource for all the clubs and societies in Tramore. We plan to convert the old classrooms upstairs into modern meeting rooms to facilitate non-sporting groups also.

So far we have been rebuffed – so the hall will be sold – so the club will have no home!

Other towns of smaller size have had to fundraise up to 2.5 million euro to build a facility of this type – are we going to let ours be sold and lost to the children and people of the town?

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

1. Go to the Campaign post on the Tramore Basketball Club Facebook page and like, comment on and share the post.
2. If you are a member of a club, society, company or organisation in Tramore or its environs that would either be interested in using the revamped hall or even just sign a letter supporting us in our efforts to retain the hall, please contact us through the Facebook page or at Tramorecommunitysportstrust@gmail.com.
3. Please approach any of the new local Councillors and other local politicians and tell them that you expect them to support the retention of the hall.
