Below is a video of my surgeon, Dr. Illerhaus, he's performed over 6k spine surgeries, that's all him and his colleague do.  99% of their patients are German obviously however the number of international patients they treat is growing especially among Canadians because most countries outside of Europe and the US do not have this procedure.  Again, do your research if you're in this position as I did looking at multiple different countries and surgeons.  I can only share my journey/experience and my family and I truly appreciate all the support received and appreciate everyone continuing to push this forward.

"Fusion isn't the only way to treat a damaged disc. An artificial disc replacement preserves the motion of the spinal segment instead of locking it. In Germany the procedure is done routinely. In Canada it's rarely put on the table as an option at all.
At ONZ we specialize in motion-preserving techniques, and we work to avoid fusion wherever the diagnosis allows it. Where fusion really is the right answer, we do that too.
Upload your MRI and one of our spine surgeons reviews it personally. You get a written second opinion back — free, and completely non-binding.
No commitment. No pressure."
