After completing an online form on Saturday 13/12/25, Derbyshire County Council have come back with the following;

Following a review of collision data, we can confirm that there have been five recorded collisions at this location, and four out of five involved vehicles turning right from Godfrey Drive onto Ladywood Road.

A site visit was carried out, and we observed that:

• The road markings at the junction are faded, reducing visibility of the give way lines.
• Due to the slight uphill approach to Ladywood Road, the junction is not clearly visible until drivers are very close, which may explain why some vehicles overshoot.

To address these issues, we will:

• Re-line the road markings in this area to improve visibility.
• Install an advance “Give Way” sign on Godfrey Drive before the junction with Ladywood Road, providing drivers with earlier warning.
