We believe current legislation does not protect children and the vulnerable from developing a gambling addiction. We are bombarded with adverts for bingo, in play sports betting etc. all day long. We believe that the "strict controls" that are already in place do not provide adequate protection. We recently attempted to set up a petition on the parliament website, however, this was rejected as they claimed they were not responsible. We understand ofcom and the Asa monitor the content of adverts but surely legislation is a government issue! We believe action needs to be taken now, as lives and relationships are continuing to be devastated by loss.
