A recent Toyota commercial depicting animal cruelty has been airing on TV. In this commercial the couple takes turns throwing a stick into a rapidly flowing river for their dog, probably a Border Collie, who jumps into this river after the stick and is swept downstream. The dog is swept so rapidly and far downstream that the couple has to drive the Rav 4 to find him/her. After that dangerous moment, the wife says 'my turn' and repeats the experience of throwing the stick for the dog into the river. This is a ridiculously stupid commercial showing a very dangerous thing to do to a dog - encouraging it to jump into rapidly moving water that would kill most dogs if it was an event happening in reality. Because this depicts an unsafe treatment of a dog and might influence people to try this dangerous activity, this is being reported to the ASPCA.
