Hi Awesome Folks, Just 10 days until the Toy of The Year Awards Ceremony in NYC. 80% of the night will be great - celebrating toys that are fun, entertaining and educational. Then there will be that 20% of the night that will feel like 1950. The Toy Industry Association (TIA) will proudly tell us all what toys the boys should play with and what toys the girls should play with. Your girl happen to like Star Wars or cool flying toys? Yeah, well there is a 0% chance those toys will win for Best Girl Toy of The Year...since those toys are just in the Boy category. I don't think Rey would be very happy about this :) Does this whole story seem very one-sided? I mean, the TIA must have a reason for the having a Boy TOTY Award and Girl TOTY Award - right? Well, despite numerous attempts to get anyone from the TIA to respond - we have heard nothing but silence. I read the bios of the folks at the TIA - lots of PhDs and smart folks, you would think they would have something to say? Let's get the word out and keep the pressure on the TIA. Anything you can do to share the petition would be greatly appreciated. Thanks as always for your support and we will keep you updated as soon as we hear anything from the TIA.
