Dear friends on FB. I need your help again.

The time is coming for the hearing to save the St. Andrews Convent.
As of now, our only chance to save her is to find her a purpose, move her to a new local location or find a way to reason with the Catholic school board (impossible) to find a use that suits everybody’s needs.

What I need now for the next step are more formal objections that I can bring forward to the tribunal meeting on June 28th.

Kae Elgie of the AOC is working on getting in touch with various people in politics to assist where they can.

Below is an excerpt from our email correspondence on what you can do for us to help build our case....

1. a) Until June 16, we have the opportunity to add more "objectors" who would join us as being "parties" at the hearing.
What does being a "party" mean?
If you are a party, you get to talk to the hearing. It's like a court case. People sitting in the audience can't speak. Unlike a court case, audience members can't get called to speak (by one of us, say, or by a lawyer) - they have to get approval ahead of time to speak.
In tribunals like the Conservation Review Board, you can ask to have your say.
And you get to ask questions of the other side, show how their arguments are wrong, that sort of thing.
That's called applying to have party status.

All of us objectors are automatically parties to the case. Parties have to be present at the Case Management Conference on June 28. They don't necessarily have to speak, but they have to be open to being questioned by the other side.

So you could ask if there are people who
who object to the Convent being un-designated and demolished are willing to state why they object in public [in front of the Conservation Review Board]
can attend a telephone meeting on Monday June 28 from 9:30 to 11 am can fill out an application to do this by June 16
I've attached the form.

b) If people don't want to speak, but want to register their objection, they could apply to be participants. They get to submit written statements. I have attached that form too.

PLEASE if anybody can formally write an injection letter for me I would be very very grateful. We should not lose the last remaining pieces of local history to the wrecking ball because of crooked politics and shady moves on the Catholic school boards part.

If anybody knows of a plot of land in St. Andrews who would have this beautify moved to please let me know.

I’m asking for a huge favour here and all help would be so appreciated!
