Wow!! It must be said that political spin occurs from the federal government all the way to Main Street, USA. WWAY reported on the Town of Lelands latest efforts to paint the picture incorrectly. You, the supporters of Christmas in Leland, NC are aware that the Unity Group applied for a permit to have the same parade that we all have grown to love for the last 26 years. They city council denied the permit and refused to allow the non profit, community lead “Unity Group of North Brunswick” to maintain tradition. 

We need your voices! Together we have generated over 900 signatures of support. If everyone would take this post or conversation to your social media pages again, we could easily double our support in numbers. Together, we can stand for our Community  instead of a city run commercial “Day of Christmas” in Leland. We don’t need politicians telling us how to have Christmas in Leland. Let the citizen controlled Unity Group fulfill it’s purpose and do what it’s done for over 26 years successfully. It was the Town of Leland that screwed it up in the first place last year.
