We, the undersigned urge the Town of Hamilton Planning Board to reject the Special Permit application from Varsity Wireless Investors, LLC, to erect a Communications Tower, associated equipment, and include four co-located service providers upon the tower.

While we don’t disagree that the town needs better wireless coverage, the Town's Cell Tower by-law states, “The Planning Board will pay particular attention to the visibility of the proposed structure from Public Ways, from Historic Districts, from Popular Scenic Areas, and views from Residential Areas.”  

We believe that the proposed Town Hall site fails to meet any of these considerations and are opposed to the siting of a cell tower at the Town Hall DPW yard.  We would like to see the town explore alternative sites and methodologies to find a solution to increase wireless coverage in our town.
