In Oct 2017 my dogs Pee Wee and Chris were on my driveway. As per Brookhaven law, dogs on my property do not have to be leashed. My neighbor who was intoxicated/ impaired  lost control of her pit breed dog that was on a retractable leash.( i know this because she sued me and I was allowed to see her medical records on intake). Her dog charged me and once it did? My dogs went into action to protect me. She fell on the ground and her arm was bit. Instead of getting up and moving she sat on the ground and yelled in an unnatural voice- ow my arm is bit. She then tried to break up the dog fight by pulling the dogs apart by the mouth. She then had her ear bit and decided to call News 12. Unfortunately she is an unmarried 53 yo woman with no children and looks for ways to start trouble when she is belligerently drunk. I had a partial finger amputation, seven staples in my leg and a broken thumb.  Several of my fingernails needed to be pulled off. The TOB and SCPD ruled it as a dog on dog fight but then my neighbor from the other side who has called the town on me more than a dozen times decided to be involved and start a petition. The town of Brookhaven asked me to make accommodations to my home to ensure safety. First? I put a chain link around the front of my yard. 2nd? Behind my fence in the back? I put another 6ft stockade fence in the back foundation and a 6ft fence around the perimeter of a 6×10 kennel where they go when they are outside- all passed on a drunk woman's account of events. I am suing bot woman for reporting a false narrative to tv, media and govt officials with intent to cause slander and defamation. Because of that, these woman are again gunning for my two rescue dogs even though there has been no incident since Oct 2017- almost 2 years ago. They came today with their evidence and my court date is August 14th. I will take any support. Please sign my falsely accused dogs the right to live in peace. The other woman received a $300,000 settlement from my insurance already yet still will not stop. I have a pending case for personal injury.  The evidence they have is Chris and Pee Wee walking 15 ft to their locked kennel. A picture of the wrong dog and pictures of the front of my house. The thing is they say the gate wasn't secured but what they don't say is I have a 6ft stockade fence inside a 6 ft stockade fence where the dogs kennel is plus a 4ft chain link in the front of my yar . I have been involved in rescue for 6 plus years. I provide transport. I foster. I donate and yes I adopt the most emergent dogs. Many of my fosters have gone on to forever homes. Please don't let the vendetta of one person with no siblings and an ex to grind prevent Chris and Pee Wee from coming home. I have had them 7 years and in all that time? They have been involved with one dog fight where both owners were hurt. Bring them home. Together we save them.
