I have had an amazing weekend it was a whirl of activity. Visited family, got to the Natural History Museum (Thank you Bob it was awesome), I then joined Brake road safety charity on their RoadsTo Justice campaign. There I met some families with the same grit and determination I have.
As you are probably aware We all did radio interviews, how strange it is sitting in a recording studio answering questions to someone who is in a different part of the country to you. I think most of us did a spot on TV putting our stories out there. Let's just hope all of our petitions get the signatures needed.
Spoke briefly with Niel Kinnock and Viscount Simon both were very supportive of the campaign. All felt very positive. Was very pleased to see Greg Mulholland MP come out to support the campaign on behalf of his constituents.
I was promised support by my MP on Friday but I guess the breaking news of his colleague Theresa May being hoisted to the position of future Prime Minister took precedence, and of course he didn't have that much notice of the event. I of course will be following up with him in the near future.
So it is time to follow up on some of the media that hasn't responded to me yet.
I have to ammend this part of my post and apologise to the BMF (British Motorcycle Federation) for my earlier comments which I have removed. It seems they are supporting my campaign after all. Please see their support here. http://www.bmf.co.uk/news/show/bmf-calls-for-tougher-sentences-on-motorcyclist-killers
So thank you for the support one and all.
Much Love
Lorraine
