Bill A7785 is awaiting approval by the NYS Assembly. Members of Project Sherman visited the Legislative Office Building (LOB) in Albany in early June to encourage support of A7785. We met with three members of the Assembly, including a co-sponsor of the bill, as well as the Deputy Speaker of the House and assistants to other members of the Assembly. There were many pressing issues on the table for the legislators as the session ended in mid-June, so A7785 is tabled for now. We expect to go back to the LOB in September to continue our advocacy for this bill. We will continue to post updates so stay tuned.
