Dear all past, present, and future members of the West High Entertainment Unit,

West High has recently completed construction on a new Performing Arts Center.   When I drove by the building that is located directly across from the band room it brought back so many great memories.  Zero periods, bus rides to competitions, Monday night practice, and Friday night football games.  

One teacher which all of us are tremendously grateful for is Dad B.  We all have our own treasure chest of unique memories, emotions, and stories of our Dad B.  That is what makes him so great.  He made each one of us feel valued and important.  He helped all of us become who we are today.

I thought it only fitting that the new West High Performing Arts Center should be dedicated and renamed in his honor to the “Jim Banim Performing Arts Center.”
