✨ IT'S OFFICIAL! ✨
With full hearts, we are beyond proud and emotional to share that the Eighth Street Skatepark will officially be renamed in memory of Jordon Carter.
This would not have been possible without every single one of you.
The signatures, the heartfelt comments, the constant support, and the endless love from this community made this happen. This wasn’t just our family asking — this was a community-led movement from day one, and YOU made it a reality.
We also want to give a very special thank you to Camilla Hershoff-Schelle and Carla Vicari — two incredible women who created the petition, did all the legwork, and followed it through until the very end. Their passion, dedication, and love for Joordon were the driving force behind this entire process, and we are forever grateful for their efforts.
From the bottom of our hearts, we want to say thank you to everyone who signed, shared, showed up, and stood beside us to honour Jordon’s life and legacy. Your voices carried this forward, and now his name will forever be part of the park he loved so much.
The skatepark will now stand not only as a place to skate, but as a symbol of Jordon’s spirit, kindness, and the impact he had on so many lives.
We’ll be organizing a huge celebration at the park to mark this special moment, and we’d love for the entire community to join us. More details will follow soon!
Thank you for helping us keep Jordon’s memory alive. This victory belongs to all of us.
