This week, we released a new public statement calling for the immediate full funding of Northern Ireland’s Mental Health Strategy.

Five years into a ten-year plan, just 16% has been funded.

In 2024, there were 290 registered deaths by suicide — a 31% increase on the previous year.

That is why we are speaking out.

We have now written to all MLAs setting out our concerns and asking for clear commitments on funding and timelines. We are awaiting their response.

Over 5,000 people have already signed this petition demanding action — and that public pressure matters. Communities are not asking for more reports. They are asking for properly funded, life-saving mental health services.
