Greetings Relatives, Sister Nations, and Allies!  You are invited to take part in an art initiative called Speak for the Peaks. Speak for the Peaks calls for submissions of art to reaffirm and reconnect with each other as well as our sacred mountain. The purpose is to re-center our expression and mobilize our collective communities on the topic of this sacred mountain.

The initiative will take place across various social media platforms for the next four months.  There are four, month-long phases of this initiative.  Each phase provides a prompt to create artistic messaging in tandem with indigenous philosophy that corresponds to this mountain of life and one’s social, mental, and spiritual health as it relates to land and community.

We are aiming to support struggling Indigenous artists during this pandemic by offering a $900 prize for first place (with a $100 donation going to a person/organization of the winner’s choosing) and several $50 runner up prizes for each phase of this art initiative.
