Antioch Lambs in Peril!

David Nibert
Yellow Springs, OH, United States

Aug 19, 2019 —

The Committee to Save the Antioch Lambs has sought to convince Antioch College to release the nine lambs to a waiting sanctuary at summer’s end. (The internationally recognized and respected organization, Farm Sanctuary, has offered to assist in the placement of the lambs.) We have made appeals to the college citing the moral right on the lambs not to be harmed, and also point out the numerous environmental problems related to raising animals as food in the face of the growing climate emergency.  Over 100 professors from around the world signed a statement asking for the lambs to be released to sanctuary.  Thus far, Antioch College has dismissed all requests to free the lambs, who are slated for transport to the slaughterhouse.

Please contact Antioch President Tom Manley and ask him to release the lambs to sanctuary.  937-319-6164 / president@antiochcollege.edu

You can see a video of the precious Antioch lambs on this link to YouTube (please share).   THANKS! - David Nibert for the Committee to Save the Antioch Lambs
