We say keep the "Hit Somebody" tradition alive and well during the break in the final two lines of our National Anthem at Toledo Walleye hockey games. This tradition has been a staple in the Toledo Hockey Culture for over 20 years and is no way a display of disrespect to our country or those who have or currently serve in the Armed Forces. 

This "issue" only came to light due to a local shock jock looking to make a splash on radio because athletes protesting during the National Anthem is a current hot button issue and Joe Everson's rendition of the National Anthem on opening night went viral setting the stage for his publicity stunt.
