I remember a time in the 90s when you was able to buy quite a lot of the Godzilla films on home video. This was around about the time when Sony pictures and Tri-Star was about to release there take on the king of the monsters. But since then it has been  few and far between with Godzilla releases here in the UK. The only films which have seen a uk release are Godzilla (gojira) the 1954 classic released by toho and distributed by BFI, King Kong vs Godzilla released by universal, the 1998 remake by Sony, the 2014 remake by legendary pictures and most recently shin Godzilla which is the latest reboot from Toho again but distributed by Manga entertainment. The point I’m making with this petition is that here in the uk we don’t get a good deal when it comes to the Godzilla franchise’ being distributed in the uk.Normally Iike most Godzilla fans here in Britain know we would have to buy a multi region dvd/blue ray player and ship Godzilla films from North America or Australia or even Japan or try other ways just so we can watch them. Now considering there is 31of these films now not including the American remakes I think this is ridiculous the uk has only had a few of them in recent years and it really baffles me for such an iconic character in the history of world cinema isn’t available for everyone I’ve spoken to a lot of people who think the same way so now I think it’s about time the Godzilla franchise got the distribution and  exposure it really deserves in Britain. So let’s get together sign this petition and show toho company, manga entertainment and the British film institute that there is a market for the king of the monsters and we want nothing more but to show our love and appreciation for the king of the monsters thank you.
