“University Enterprises, Inc. (UEI) has received inquiries about the elimination of the sandwich cart in the Library Quad and its impact on the part-time employee that sold the sandwiches. Because of the misinformation being circulated, the following information is provided. Sales from the UEI owned and operated cart declined significantly and last spring the cart operated at a loss. Accordingly, UEI made a business decision to discontinue the cart operation. Because this is a personnel matter, UEI is limited by privacy laws as to what it may say regarding the employee. However, the employee does work for UEI in another Dining Services location.”
