More and more players are losing their enjoyment of Valorant due to smurfs, trolls, and cheaters. As a long-time player, I am not speaking only for myself, but for a large part of the community that wants fair matches and true competitive integrity back.

I have been playing Valorant for five years, but recently the fun of the game has drastically declined. Again and again, matches are lost because of smurfs, cheaters, or players who intentionally troll. These players not only ruin my own experience, but also that of many others who simply want to play fairly, improve their rank, and enjoy the game without constant disruption.

Despite stricter punishments and measures introduced by Riot Games, the situation does not seem to improve in any meaningful way. For many players, it has become increasingly frustrating to grind seriously, climb the ranked ladder, or even enjoy normal matches without constant frustration.

Riot Games has announced the introduction of phone number verification. However, there is widespread concern that this measure will not effectively deter problematic players, as there are now numerous easy ways to obtain additional or temporary phone numbers. As a result, this barrier can be bypassed with little effort. Instead of a real improvement, this risks becoming a cosmetic solution while the core problems remain unresolved.

The overall quality of the game continues to decline, and with it, the trust of the community. Many players are losing hope that fair and competitive matches can be reliably maintained in the long term.

According to surveys within the gaming community, over 70% of players report regularly losing their enjoyment of the game due to smurfs, cheaters, or trolls. This not only damages the reputation of Valorant, but also harms the loyal community that Riot Games has built and relied on for years.

A competitive game depends on fairness, equal opportunities, and trust in the system. When these foundations are weakened, players do not just lose matches — they lose motivation to continue playing.

 
Our Demands
It is time for Riot Games to take stronger and more decisive action. We call for:

greater transparency in how cheating, smurfing, and intentional trolling are handled
stronger and more innovative anti-cheat measures
improved and more transparent community reporting systems
significantly stricter account verification
and effective systems for the early detection and limitation of smurf accounts
There are proven technologies and strategies that can be successfully implemented. We urge Riot Games to make consistent use of these tools to protect the integrity and long-term quality of Valorant.
