Hello fellow smokers

Are we being played?

Is our President a liar or a puppet or is there more than meets the eye?  As law abiding citizens our rights have been taken away under the pretext of the pandemic.  We were complacent and understanding of the terrible burden our President had to bear and some of us were almost forgiving.

However, this ban is a farce and not only a ministerial power trip but we are beginning to believe there are ulterior motives, as Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma ‘s alleged past dealings with the illegal tobacco trade and its representatives have resurfaced.

Read about it here -  https://briefly.co.za/62345-steenhuisen-throws-major-shade-dlamini-zuma-ciggies-ban.html

The controversial u-turn on cigarette sales – which will now stay banned from supermarket shelves, has left a sour taste in our mouths.

The financial impact of the cigarette ban alone is devastating, as it costs the Treasury R35 million a day in lost excise revenues.

Illicit cigarettes are flooding the market at massively inflated prices, delivering no tax to the country and actively increasing the movement of people – the very thing the lockdown is supposed to prevent. Almost R1 billion has already been lost at a time when the people and the country need it most.

FITA will now pursue with legal action and this petition will help strengthen their case, there is strength in numbers, so continue sharing and signing and stay strong my fellow smokers

This petition is sent when a new goal has been reached, so quite a number have already been sent out to our President and now include Sinen Mnguni from FITA

PLEASE NOTE - DO NOT PAY ANY MONEY ON THIS PETITION PLEASE
