We have not won the bid for the Green Man pub site. We have been told the sucessful bid was substantially higher than ours. Stonegate have made it clear their tag line of "We believe the pub is the heart of British culture" is empty and worthless. They are now looking to profit from the sale of the land to the highest bidder rather than accept our very generous community backed bid which would have given the community the opportunity to rebuild the pub. We still do not know what is going to be on the site.

We would like you to send an email to the decision makers at Stonegate as well as Drakes the agents. We need you to tell them them how they are putting profits above the genuine need to help our community get backs its heart and let us buy the land so that we can rebuild our pub.
