Anti abortion proponents like yourself, here in the US and throughout the world scored a big victory yesterday May 15, 2019, when Alabama governor Kay Ivy passed abortion law that will put doctors behind bars for up to 99 years. The good news is that when put into effect six months from now, the Alabama law would apply to any abortion at all stages of the pregnancy and may include prison time for the woman on whom abortion is being performed as well. It is not just the state of Alabama, states in the South and across the Mid West have recently passed a series of sweeping anti-abortion laws. However, and for (a word of caution), even abortion proponents think the Alabama law may almost be blocked in the lower courts and that the Supreme Court is likely to reject it. The decision to reverse R v. W is going to be based on precedents, legal experts say. It was reported that the current Louisiana case as well as the recent Alabama case may begin during the Supreme Court next year's term scheduled for after January 2020, thus putting R v. W gradually in motion, not in one single scoop.
