I can see that I am not going to win this one, firearms owners in Australia obviously either don't care, or this petition is not reaching them. But at least I have put the problem out there for ordinary people to see & think about. This is about our rights, our right to enjoy life to the full providing it does not hurt or inconvenience anyone else. If this was a ban on cricket bats or tennis rackets or golf clubs then I am sure I would get more signatures, but because this is about a primitive firearm, then the majority of people are not interested. To the average person & it seems to the government, a gun is a gun & they are not able to distinguish one from another. 

I will leave this petition open just in case. I would like to thank those that have signed, many thanks. It is good to know that some people out there have some common sense & they do care.
