The LNP is back in power, the same Health Minister is still residing, we must now really push to get as many signatures as quickly as possible to get the Minister and the government to respond positively to this petition. As this article out of New Zealand clearly indicates (NZ problems mirror Australia's) , we need much more trialing of drugs with possibilities to treat rare diseases such as mesothelioma. Yes, drugs such as Keytruda and Optiva may not work on all sufferers, but have the distinct possibility of working really well on sufferers with certain characteristics - we need to know, the only way is by having more trials.
