Petition updateProposed to be considered by the Royal CommissionReply from Jonathan O'Dea MP

I received a letter regarding our petition from Jonathan O'Dea MP (Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier snd Treasurer).

The reply we got was just a media answer stating how much has been thrown into drought relief this year.

The figures are just what we found on the Governments website which has been done since the seventies. The fact that we are still seeing our farmers suffering from drought severely is a testament that all previous drought relief schemes put in place by the Governments of Australia have failed to do anything to prevent future suffering from drought.

Our petition and ideas put forward to prevent drought suffering of our farmers still needs to be put forward to the Senate with the hope that they are taken seriously and we get responses from them that will see preventative systems put in place.

Thanks to Senator John Williams our petition will be presented to the Senate. I look forward to hearing from them and will let you know what results we get. It is our country and we all have the right to petitioned Senate or Parliament about issues that impact us.

Thanks for your support.
