Everytime we check, more signatures. Usually with petitions they have a big first day, a few weeks of activity and then taper off. But this one keeps going. The "next goal" is set by Change.Org, not us, but it's looking like we might make 5,000. Keep spreading the word.

I'm now reaching out to a collector with a stable of collectibles (literally, it used to be a stable) in Auckland to see if he would agree to host a meeting where we can present the petition to the Minister (and maybe invite the new NZTA Chair, Simon Bridges, a self-confessed petrolhead). Nothing like a room full of classic and collectible cars to make a petition presentation much more interesting.

In the meanwhile, today being a lovely Easter Monday (thankfully warm in the unheated garage) we finally got the brakes bled on the 55-year-old Alfa. Turns out they have a special dual brake system and both front and rear bleeder valves have to be open at the same time... and speed bleeders make a world of difference.
