THE most dangerous parts of Melbourne’s CBD have been revealed as seven out of 10 Victorians say they feel unsafe in the heart of our city.
Sunday Herald Sun readers surveyed said they were uneasy walking on Flinders, King and Swanston streets, claiming those areas were awash with crime.
St Paul’s Cathedral, tunnels under the Princes Bridge, the banks of the Yarra and Flagstaff Gardens were also on the list of no-go zones.
Alarmingly, 73 per cent of the 2000 respondents said they felt at risk in the CBD and 71 per cent felt unsafe in the suburbs — despite Melbourne holding the title of world’s most liveable city.
