POOLS of blood paint a grisly scene in a Thomson street today after a shocking attack during a home invasion left a man fighting for his life. Police have taped off a few houses in Olney Avenue as officers gather evidence to the violent bashing of a 31-year-old man. They suspect three or four people entered a house shortly before 1am and assaulted the man in his bedroom. A metal pole wrapped in plastic, that may have been used in the attack, lies in the front yard.
