The Police Association Victoria:
"There is something seriously wrong in Victoria when a police car being deliberately rammed is now a common occurrence! Our members deserve to come home safe to their loved ones too."
TWO teenagers have been arrested after ramming police cars in Lalor early this morning.
Police attempted to intercept a speeding Holden SUV in Newton Crescent, Lalor, at 3.35am this morning.
But the car rammed the police vehicles before speeding away from the scene.
Police officers arrested a 17-year-old Fitzroy boy and a 17-year-old Mill Park boy shortly after the car was found dumped in Gardenia Rd.
Investigators believe the pair may have been involved in an attempted armed robbery and burglaries in Niddrie, Tullamarine and Kealba overnight.
A Sunshine Ave, Kealba, service station was burgled about 2.10am where a door was smashed open and cigarettes were stolen.
An attempted armed robbery occurred at a service station on Assembly Drive, Tullamarine, about 2.40am where the offenders tried to break into the store but failed and left empty-handed.
The pair are also believed to be involved in another burglary at a service station on Keilor Road, Niddrie, about 3.15am.
They smashed their way into the store but again left empty-handed.
The men are assisting police with their inquires and the investigation continues.
