We can all be actors of change in our ecosystems, for an ecological awakening and a better future for humanity and earth. We wanted to respond to the student manifesto for an ecological awakening and propose you to adhere to this answer by committing yourself to be a player of change in your networks and in the organization to which you belong.

OUR MANIFESTO

We remember when we were young students just like you. We, too, have known quick consumption and instant gratification through access to global information at our fingertips. Yet, we also endured economic crises, increased stress, and burnouts, in work environments that have been changing at a frighteningly rapid pace. But that was then, and this is now.
Right now, we are seriously concerned, as citizens, parents, leaders, about the issue of climate change. We are now increasingly more aware of the consequences of our actions and the fact that our denial has lasted way too long. We also realize the potential of our positive actions that we can undertake, individually as well as collectively. We are all able to contribute to a major change in the world. It is no longer a question of letting ourselves be satisfied with the status quo. Rather, we need to change how we affect the earth and its environment. And we need your help.
Only by working together can we succeed.
What makes us speak with one voice today, in this response to your manifesto, is that we are some of the economic and political decision makers that you are questioning. It’s up to us to start making change and acting with the conviction that every company, association and organization represents a huge pool of people ready to contribute positively to create a better future for the world. It’s up to us to get going and get to work.
We will not be quiet any longer for fear of what others think. It is time to act. What binds us together here and now and throughout past and future generations is stronger than our differences and our fears. We believe deeply that our collective desire and energy will enable us to come up with answers to fundamental issues of the XXI century, such as the ecological and social challenges that our economic system has produced. But we need to get involved now.
On one hand, you have the energy and the strength of conviction to help shape the future. We, on the other hand, offer our commitment, our experience, as well as our wide network and contacts.

Our commitment
We, the undersigned, say to you: you are not alone.
We have been part of the professional world for a while now, at various levels of activity, and we get it; we feel the urgency of your demands. The undersigned of this text are committed to supporting you and to working with you to transform our economic system.
As citizens, consumers, employers, managers and co-workers, we affirm in this manifesto our determination to change an economic system that cannot last. We do not want to live by abusing the planet at the expense of other people and future generations, nor do we want to remain indifferent to social inequalities and to the risks of conflicts.
We are aware of our responsibility right now. We commit to change our behavior in both our personal and professional lives. Every year, on April 22nd, Earth Day, we will publish the concrete actions that illustrate this strong commitment.
We are committed to responding to your feedback, to working together, and to transforming these companies and organizations. Their objectives and resources must henceforth serve the general interest and the common good. We offer our support and helping hand so we may work together and create a viable future for the earth.
