Never close a petition until a goal is reached. Especially when it deals with racism. It takes a while for people to get on board -- especially the *real* higher-ups!
Ever since the George Floyd situation the *real* decision-makers in Media, Business, Finance (and more) had to do some REAL soul-searching. They had to figure out if they were part of the problem or the solution.
Many realized they were part of the problem -- through actions such as "banning" episodes that dealt with race and politics. The ROOT problems. That's what happened here.
In 2017, not many *higher-ups* cared about the Kaepernick / social climate that took place due to their privilege keeping them "blind" to the issues. We're just keeping it real! This included banning the "Please, Baby, Please" episode that spoke on these issues.
Shoutouts to Kenya Barris and the Black-ish team for keeping their foot on the "higher-ups" necks (no pun intended) when asking for a do-over of the wrong they did to pull the episode.
They did right, and now we're going to see the episode on HULU! It's about damn time.
And hopefully this never happens again.
