Currently, one in two women who run from domestic violence services are turned back from shelters, mostly due to the lack of spaces due to a lack of funding.

Thousands of calls to 1800 RESPECT go unanswered.

Please can you please head on over here https://www.change.org/keephersafe and also sign the petition for the Federal Government to immediately increase the funding to frontline domestic violence services.

They are severely underfunded, with tenuous funding, and a lot of funding is about to run out.

The Federal government has allocated $89 b for submarines, and last year spent $42 b on defense. All governments, Fed/State/Territory together spent only $4.1 b on frontline domestic violence services last year.

The biggest threat to the safety and well-being of Australian women is not a foreign country or a terrorist organisation.

The biggest threat is violent Australian men.

When women seek help, it is often not there due to the lack of funding.
